INSTALLATIONS

Simonds often creates works that address particular spaces, places or histories, revealing social, political or psychic realities. They are intended to provoke reactions from communities or individuals. Some are connected to exhibitions, some are indoors, and some are outdoors.

Many installations include workshops where participants create their own works of art, fantasy dwellings that individually or collectively express where they have lived in the past, where they live now or where they imagine they would like to live in the future.
