A citywide Art-in-Public-Space project sponsored by the Municipal Department of Art and Culture of the City of Munich including an exhibition at the Kunstraum.

Simonds worked with children in sociologically contrasting neighborhoods making Dwellings. The children’s works were then brought together for a communal exhibition so that the children could meet and discover what each group had made.

Simonds also worked with children in the Heckscher Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. His work there, and with refugee children in the Hasenbergl community, prompted a response from Eva Pattis Zoja, a Jungian psychoanalyst who had worked with traumatized children in Munich doing “sandplay therapy.” Read introductory text of Where Soul Meets Matter.
